About Me
In 2015, I co-founded Mobile First Studios, taking on the role of Creative Director. It was more than just a startup; it served as a proving ground where I honed my skills in leading diverse design teams and driving innovative projects. Our core was to take business visions and ideas, and convert them into digital experiences. We launched several client apps such as BeautyBook, CarLove, and managed marketing campaigns for CreativeCircle.
From there, I assumed leadership roles in product design at ESRI, focusing on geospatial iOS and Android applications. My work centered on developing user-friendly solutions for natural science research, fleet management and navigation, and workforce management applications. I led the creation of ESRI’s first mobile specific design system, bringing a cohesive look and experience across their suite of mobile apps, and facilitating user-research both virtually and in-person.
In late 2016, I transitioned into the Los Angeles entertainment industry by joining TicketManager. Initially starting as the first product designer, I quickly advanced to the role of Design Strategist. In this capacity, I played a pivotal role in a platform redesign across mobile and web, developing and designing a proprietary design system, and led user-research initiatives.
in 2021, during the COVID pandemic, I returned to academia at UC Berkeley, where I pursued a Master of Information Management and Systems. My studies concentrated on using my professional UX background and combining it geospatial data science and environmental research, with a particular focus on developing software systems for environmental data. There I developed concepts such as: HealthDash, a dashboard for visualizing athlete performance; GardenSense, an analytics platform and dashboard for garden and plant health; and various natural science data projects. I graduated in May of 2023.
Currently, I am a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Location Intelligence practice in San Francisco. Here, I contribute to the development of cutting-edge software products and conduct research in areas such as natural resource management and disaster relief. My unique blend of expertise in psychology, technology, and design offers a fresh perspective in leading innovative software development, particularly in fields where technology can drive significant environmental and social impact.
I’m always interested in fun sounding side projects, and expanding my technical knowledge for good. On the outside, I enjoy playing guitar and drums for my own solo music project, rock climbing, running, and going on roadtrips and outdoor adventures.
