About Me

Hey there, I’m Chris Ferenci. My journey into the tech world kicked off way back in the rural suburbs of Central California, a world away from where I find myself today, navigating the ever-evolving tech scene.

My dive into entrepreneurship began when I co-founded Mobile First Studios, taking on the role of Creative Director. It was more than just a startup; it was a testing ground where I learned to lead diverse design teams and spearhead innovative projects.

Moving on from there, I took up leadership positions in product design at ESRI, focusing on iOS and Android apps. Here, I really got into the nitty-gritty of geospatial tech, working on user-friendly solutions that made complex tech accessible.

Next stop was TicketManager, where I started as the first designer and later took on the role of Design Strategist. I played a key part in revamping platforms and creating a custom design system, driving improvements in user experience across digital platforms.

During the COVID pandemic, I decided to dive back into academia at UC Berkeley. In their Master of Information Management and Systems program, I dived into geospatial data science and environmental research, focusing on building software systems for environmental data.

Nowadays, I'm a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s Location Intelligence practice in San Francisco. I’m right in the thick of it, developing cutting-edge software products and researching areas like natural resource management and disaster relief. My mix of psychology, tech, and design know-how gives me a fresh perspective in software development and leadership, especially in fields where tech can make a real difference environmentally and socially.
